We offer free delivery on all orders despatched for delivery within the UK. We use Royal Mail Special Delivery which is a guaranteed next day pre 1pm service requiring you to sign a ‘proof of delivery’. It is important that the delivery address is secure and that an authorised person is available to sign on your behalf. It is also important to check that the parcel is intact before you sign for it. If someone signs for the parcel at your address that does not have your authority to do so, it will not be the responsibility of MadAboutDiamonds.
As nearly all jewellery is made to order we quote a delivery time of 14 working days although in practice most items are despatched between 7 and 10 working days. If you require the jewellery quicker or for a special date then please contact us and we will always do our utmost to meet your requirements.
Once we receive your order we will send you a confirmation email. Within 3 working days we will then send you a further email with an estimated delivery date and also a scanned copy of your diamond certificate where appropriate. Prior to despatch of your order we will then contact you again to confirm the delivery date is convenient for you. Likewise in the unlikely event that there is a delay to your order we will always inform you immediately.
Please note that whilst we strive to keep all prices accurate and upto date, due to the fluctuations in the diamond trading markets and the base metal markets, prices and diamond specifications are subject to availability.
If paying by credit or debit card, we can only send your purchase to the billing address of that card. However if you pay by cheque or bank transfer we can send the item to any address of your choice.
Delivery outside the UK
For deliveries outside the UK we use Royal Mail International Signed for which there is a £50 charge or FedEx and UPS special courier service for which there is a £100 charge for items up to £5000 and £150 for items above. This will usually add between 3 and 5 days onto the delivery.
If you are a resident of the Channel Islands or outside the EU and therefore exempt from paying VAT please contact us and we will adjust the price of your order accordingly.
Please note we will not despatch orders to the following countries: Belarus, Burma, Cuba, Congo, Cote d'Ivorie, Iran, Iraq, Ivory Coast, Lebanon, Liberia, Myanmar, North Korea, Serbia, Sudan, Syria, Zimbabwe, Yugoslavia.
Our Returns Policy
If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase from MadAboutDiamonds you can return it within 14 days of your first order delivery date for a full refund of the purchase price – no questions asked. There are certain items of jewellery including full eternity rings, diamond inset wedding rings and bespoke jewellery that are not covered by the money back guarantee.
Here are important things you need to know in the unlikely event that you need to return an item of jewellery.
- To return an item you must first notify us in writing at firstname.lastname@example.org we will then issue you with a returns number.
- All items must be returned unworn in original condition and with all the original packaging.
- If a Diamond Certificate was issued then this must also be returned. Failure to do so will result in a £100 fee being deducted from the purchase price.
- All jewellery will be checked by one of our experts to verify its originality before a refund is issued.
- Refunds will be made in the same form as the original purchase within two working days.
- Please ensure you send the item by registered post and make sure it is fully insured as we can not accept responsibility for loss or damage prior to us signing for the item.
Please note none of the above affects your statutory rights.
For items such as solitaire engagement rings, 3 stone rings, earrings and pendants we offer 14 days to reset the stones into a different setting where only the difference in cost of the setting design will be charged.
Cancellation of order
To cancel an order prior to delivery please contact us and if the item has not yet been despatched we will issue a full refund. If the order has been despatched then please follow our refund procedure.
Returning Damaged Goods
In the unlikely event that the item you received is damaged or faulty please notify us immediately and we will arrange either replacement or a full refund. Any item that is deemed to have been damaged after delivery will be charged at the appropriate rate.
Returns from Overseas
Please note we do not accept returns from orders placed outside the United Kingdom.
